After weeks of speculation, anticipation and wasted hours in the studio the A(audio),V(ideo)A(rt) composition "you shout and no one seems to hear" has been released to the public. Mixed in Sydney by Subverted Soul, edited in London's Eastend by Banksy and mastered by none other than Alan Parsens (Dark side of the moon) at EMI's Abbey road studio. The unusual piece is said to answer more than a few questions of the enigma.
Press release:
Matching a movie to an unrelated album is know as synchronicity. For reasons explained below “Exit through the gift shop” / “You shout and no one seems to hear” is gaining a great deal of press. In similar fashion to the urban myth of the synchronicity that is Pink Floyd’s “Dark side of the moon” / “The Wizard of Oz”, Banksy & Subverted Soul create a tapestry of Audio/Video/Art which is Banksy’s most revealing to date.
In typical Banksy style the audio and film playing in synch not only reveal the next 10 locations of his “soon to be painted” street art pieces but also actually reveal the true identity of the artist himself. Throughout the audio you will hear Banksy’s voice taunting fans, critics and the curious alike while the video syncs up to provide further clues into the enigma.
Setup ;
There are several ideas as to when to start the album. All revolve around the paranoid pictures opening scene. You may start the album during the first gunshot, second gunshot, third gunshot, or as image fades to “A Banksy film”, but the identity of Banksy will only be revealed on the third gunshot. Try it and go make up your own mind - you might just be surprised...
